We ship all of our products via FedEx, unless otherwise specified.
We ship perishable items via FedEx Overnight Monday-Thursday, and non-perishable items via FedEx Ground Monday-Friday. Saturday delivery is also an option that can be selected at checkout for an extra fee of $17.50.

Yes! All frozen truffles will ship with dry ice. Please note, dry ice may evaporate before you receive your shipment (but your truffles will remain frozen).

If an item is missing from your order, please contact us and we will either have the product shipped again or offer you a credit or refund.
It is much better to be home to accept the delivery. If you are not home FedEx may leave the box at your doorsteps and the merchandise will not be refrigerated, which will affect the quality of the truffles. How do I store my fresh truffles?
We ship all perishable items in insulated boxes with ice packs (dry ice with frozen truffles). The merchandise will stay fresh and cold up to 48 hours without any problem. Ideally, all overnight orders should be delivered the next day, however some shipments can experience an additional day in transit due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e.: weather, flight delays). Some of your truffles will arrive with some condensation. This is normal and occurs when the truffle releases some of its moisture, which becomes trapped by its wrapping. The wrapping is composed of paper which aids in keeping the truffle fresh and prevents it from drying out during transport.
Once you receive your shipment, gently wrap the truffle in an absorbent paper and store in a dry and sealed container in the crisper compartment of the refrigerator (bottom drawer). The paper should be changed daily, and the container must be kept dry. Remove the truffle from the fridge, clean/brush it properly under a thin stream of water and enjoy it right away! Do not store truffles in rice. This will dry them out!
Truffles have a strong aroma, which will quickly be absorbed by any other food in the refrigerator, so it is important to store them in their own container. Alternatively, you can add eggs or butter in the container, which will result in truffle eggs and truffle butter!
For the best aroma and flavor experience, do not wait to enjoy your truffles. When properly stored in the fridge, fresh black winter truffles have a shelf-life of about 5 days, fresh white truffles have a shelf-life of 3-5 days.
Foods that capture the aroma of truffles (whether they are black or white) are eggs, potatoes, rice, pasta and cream. Garlic, onion, chives, leek, celery, and parmesan cheese also enhance the flavor of truffles. Chefs often pair truffles with scallops, crayfish, foie gras and poultry. Truffles bind to fat. Add truffles to your dish and you can turn a basic meal into a gastronomic delight. White truffles should not be heated, they should be sliced or shaved atop of a dish as soon as it is served. Black truffles on the contrary can be cooked, the heat brings out the flavor of black truffles.
Absolutely, you can freeze fresh black truffles. Gently clean the truffles under a thin stream of water, dry them out with paper towel, wrap them in aluminum foil or vacuum seal and place in freezer. You can keep truffles in the freezer for up to 3 months. On the contrary, fresh white truffes do not freeze well!
When you are ready to enjoy your frozen truffle, remove from freezer, thaw until it is about 80% still frozen, then slice. Do not let your truffle thaw more than 80%, otherwise it will become too soft and hard to slice. You can shave frozen truffles using a mandolin, a truffle shaver or a micro-planner.
Vacuum seal any unused frozen truffles or wrap in aluminum foil and place back in the freezer. Once thawed, truffles should be eaten within 48 hours.
